About the Exhibit:

Distinguished Artist Veterans

November 1, 2014 - January 4, 2015

From November 1 to January 4, the Institute of Texan Cultures is hosting the 5th annual Distinguished Artist Veteran art show. Organized by VSA Texas, the state organization on arts and disability, this show is comprised of new works by disabled American veterans from Texas.

More than a dozen men and women who served our country, from the Korean War to present operations, are represented. The arts are a therapeutic tool for many of our returning military personnel. The drawings, painting, sculptures, and jewelry presented here address topics from issues relating to war and to the beauty of life.
