Crossroads of Culture: Czech Texans Crossroads of Culture April 2003 Celebrating our New Czech-Texans Exhibit: Texans and Czechs A Newsletter for social studies teachers in grades 4-8, distributed three times each school year Fall-Winter-Spring by the Institute of Texan Cultures. They were pushed from home by a repressive government and desperate economic conditions and pulled to Texas by tales of economic opportunity and the promise of religious and political freedom.
