Texans One and All

Texans One and All Cover

Published in 1998 as a guide to the ITC Exhibit Floor, Texans One and All outlines some of the major settlement groups in Texas. This publication shares stories of these groups, where they chose to live, and when and why they came to Texas. It is only an introduction, however. What is mentioned here is expanded in the exhibits and productions of the ITC. To truly know Texas, one must look at Texans one and all.

For your convenience we have broken the book into sections. Corresponding activity sheets are also available below for some of the chapters.  These are based on seventh grade Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and focus on the push and pull factors that caused each cultural group to move to Texas.
