Columbia Heights wants Texans to think about equal rights. The Institute of Texan Cultures has partnered with students from Columbia Heights Elementary School, San Antonio, TX to bring two special exhibits to the museum this spring.

Our Community: The History and Heritage of New Braunfels, TX

Comal Independent School District

November 11, 2016 - February 12, 2017

 
Students throughout Comal Independent School District celebrate their region's cultural heritage through a multi-media exhibit. Paintings in the German tradition, replicas of cattle brands, mural re-creation, and an interactive display highlight the hidden history of New Braunfels and surrounding towns.
 

Girl’s Eye View: An Eastside Herstory

Summer 2016

Young residents of the Eastside of San Antonio share their herstory through photography, poetry, and film. This exhibit gives viewers an opportunity to explore a collection of personal narratives by Eastside youth as well as aspects of their culture.
