*SA300 PHOTO CONTEST*

Educators! In celebration of SA300 we are putting together a photo contest! We want to showcase all of you who are actively teaching your students about San Antonio Tricentennial, whether it's through specific Tricentennial lesson plans, field trips to San Antonio landmarks or fun classroom games and activities that teach your students about San Antonio.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Pictures must show students engaging in an activity (classroom lesson, game, project, etc.) or at a location (field trip) where they are learning about San Antonio.

  • Kids' faces do not need to show. You can request a photo release form from us.

  • Each teacher must fill out the form below in order to enter and join our FB Group if you haven't already. Click HERE to join.

  • There are two ways to participate: you can post pictures on your social media using the hashtags #ITCSA300 and #teachingSA300 and/or email them to itceducation@utsa.edu.

  • Every two weeks starting from Feb. 5 until June 4th we will compile the pictures and the teacher with the highest number of pictures showing different SA300 related activities will be the winner. (Please note: the most amount of pictures taken of one activity does not guarantee a winner.)

  • Keep posting as many pictures as you can throughout the contest period. A grand prize winner will be selected at the end.

 The winning teachers will:

  • Be highlighted along with their school and kids on our website and across our social media platforms.
  • Receive 20% discount atour store
  • Receive an bag with SA300/ITC items
  • Free admission passes to the museum, festival and other events

MEDIA COVERAGE*

Do you have any Spanish-speaking students? Have you been utilizing the Tricentennial resources, lessons and events in your classroom? Let us know! Our SA300 partners at Univision are looking to do some media coverage of students that have been exposed to these resources. This is great opportunity for you, your kids and your school to get featured on one of the major Spanish-speaking television networks. They are planning to do coverage starting soon so if you haven't been able to incorporate tricentennial related information, resources, lesson plans and field trips it is not too late to start!

If you are interested and have any questions email us at ITCEducation@utsa.edu
