Educators! In celebration of SA300 we are putting together a photo contest! We want to showcase all of you who are actively teaching your students about San Antonio Tricentennial, whether it's through specific Tricentennial lesson plans, field trips to San Antonio landmarks or fun classroom games and activities that teach your students about San Antonio.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Pictures must show students engaging in an activity (classroom lesson, game, project, etc.) or at a location (field trip) where they are learning about San Antonio.

  • Kids' faces do not need to show. You can request a photo release form from us.

  • Each teacher must fill out the form below in order to enter and join our FB Group if you haven't already. Click HERE to join.

  • There are two ways to participate: you can post pictures on your social media using the hashtags #ITCSA300 and #teachingSA300 and/or email them to

  • Every two weeks starting from Feb. 5 until June 4th we will compile the pictures and the teacher with the highest number of pictures showing different SA300 related activities will be the winner. (Please note: the most amount of pictures taken of one activity does not guarantee a winner.)

  • Keep posting as many pictures as you can throughout the contest period. A grand prize winner will be selected at the end.

 The winning teachers will:

  • Be highlighted along with their school and kids on our website and across our social media platforms.
  • Teachers receive 20% discount museum store coupons and their students a 10% museum discount
  • Receive a membership discount at any level

Ms. Reierson and Ms. Guerra!
They are both teachers at Jack C. Jordan Middle School and have been teaching SA300 to their students through fun and creative activities. One of the projects they gave their students was to create a brochure highlighting a location in San Antonio as a way for them to learn about San Antonio's landmarks, history and culture. We loved seeing them and we look forward to more of your #SA300 projects!
