Memorial Memories May 25, 2008 UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures proudly presents Memorial Memories, a musical tribute to America's military men and women. Back by popular demand, the 19-piece Big Band sounds of the Sentimental Journey Orchestra under the direction of Ted Conerly, and the lively Memphis Belles trio will present original arrangements of the swing and jazz standards of the Big Band era. The musical performance will be accompanied by powerful film clips and photos presented on the overhead screens of the Exhibit Floor performance area. Particularly meaningful to veterans and their families, the event will honor every branch of the military and those who have served and are serving at home and abroad. Due to the generous support of Frost and Air Force Villages, admission to Memorial Memories is complimentary. Donations will be accepted and are greatly appreciated. Light refreshments will be available during the intermission. As seating will be limited, guests are encouraged to arrive early. Bus parking will be available off Bowie Street. Click
