Toy Day at the Institute of Texan Cultures is being held in conjunction with the San Antonio Fire Department’s annual toy drive kickoff and the "Timeless Texas Toys" exhibit at the Institute of Texan Cultures.
Reminiscent of the 1930s tradition, children 12 and younger bringing new, unwrapped toys for the fire department’s annual toy drive will receive free admission for a day of fun at the museum. Toy Day includes a free make-and-take craft and showings of classic cartoons in the Dome Theater.
San Antonio Fire Department fire trucks and an EMS unit will be on-site for exploration and discovery and firefighters will bring their bunker coats for guests to try on. Sparky the Fire Dog also will attend. Sparky and the firefighters will provide holiday fire safety tips.
FREE for children 12 and younger with a new, unwrapped toy benefiting the San Antonio Fire Department toy drive.
Regular: $8 for adults (12-64); $7 for seniors (65+); $6 for children (3-11); free with membership or UTSA identification.
