40TH Anniversary Exhibit $25,000.00

A signature event of the Institute of Texan Cultures, the Texas Folklife Festival has been the largest and premier cultural event in Texas since 1972. In 2011, the event celebrates its 40th anniversary. In recognition of its contributions to Texan heritage, the ITC is hosting a year-long exhibit exploring the festivals past four decades. Bringing added life to the experience, festival participants will conduct a series of events throughout the year to supplement the stories, images, sounds, and artifacts highlighting many of the events’ most memorable moments. The Festival has entertained hundreds of thousands of visitors and brought together ethnic communities to share their history and culture. Underwriting this event is a way of saying thank you to our diverse communities who make up our city and state and an opportunity for your company to have high visibility for the year the exhibit will be on display. Programming is planned with many of the ethnic communities, performers and demonstrators throughout the year--making this year long celebration a highly visible sponsorship opportunity. Exhibit will be on display for one year and programming will take place throughout the year. Total sponsorship cost is $25,000.00 but donations of any amount are being accepted in support of this project.

40th Anniversary Kick-Off event $5,000.00

Each year, the Texas Folklife Festival kicks off the celebration of the Lone Star States’ cultures with the highly anticipated Kick-off event and every five year the unveiling of the Commemorative Poster. This early evening reception is held at the Institute of Texan Cultures and spotlights the artist and sponsoring company along with upcoming highlights of the Festival. More than 300 guests and media from across the city gather together to be the first to view the poster. A signed framed poster is presented to the sponsor of the kickoff party.
