Giving Tuesday

"Giving Tuesday," observed December 1 this year, celebrates generosity by providing people everywhere with an opportunity to give more, give smarter, and give great.
Texas heritage is something special. Texans have pride in their home because of what it took to build up homesteads, communities, small towns and big cities. Texans came from all over the world, and that diversity of cultures and traditions helped define what it means to be Texan.
Help us share that story with the next generation. A donation to the Texan Fund at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures can sponsor a field trip or buy supplies for students to develop their own exhibits on aspects of Texan culture.
The Texan Fund can sponsor historians and researchers to document aspects of the Texas life experience, whether it's recording an oral history with a World War II veteran, tracking down an artisan blacksmith, or preserving a rare artifact.
Texas is filled with amazing stories of everyday people, and those are stories the next generation should hear. You can play a part in building that legacy -- the field trips, the Texas Folklife Festival, teacher training, Free Second Sundays.
To make a donation to the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures, visit or call 210-458-2213 to speak with the development office.
