Institute of Texan Cultures open on July 4

Preparations for "Stars & Stripes over San Antonio" begin after business hours

 
SAN ANTONIO – The Institute of Texan Cultures will maintain regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Wednesday, July 4. The museum’s main visitor lot will remain open, strictly for museum guests, until 5:15 p.m.
 
Final preparations for the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce "Stars & Stripes over San Antonio" fireworks display will be underway. Festivities are 6 to 10 p.m.
 
The Institute of Texan Cultures is located on the UTSA HemisFair Park Campus, 801 E. César E. Chávez Blvd., a short distance from the Alamo and the River Walk. Regular hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Saturday; noon-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults (ages 12-64); $7 for seniors (ages 65+); $6 for children (ages 3-11); free with membership, UTSA or Alamo Colleges identification.
