Henry Cardenas
July 3 - October 15

Henry Cardenas earned a master of business administration in personnel management from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. He is a resident artist at the Little Studio Gallery in La Villita, San Antonio, where he maintains a continuing exhibition of his paintings and sculptures.

"I enjoy working in all media; creating art is my outlet for energy and imagination," Cardenas explains.

With four juried competitions in 2008, Cardenas has exhibited his paintings and sculptures at

•  Hill Country Arts Foundation
•  The San Antonio Art League and Museum
•  The San Antonio Aids Foundation Gala
•  The Coppini Academy of Fine Arts

In addition, he has had winning entries at the State Fair of Texas Arts Exhibit. Cardenas’s paintings and sculptures have been collected regionally, nationally and internationally.

Cardenas will also have an exhibit “Essential Matters” on display from October 1 – 29 at The Carver Community Cultural Center in the Carver Theatre Gallery. An opening reception for "Essential Matters" will be 5:30 – 8 p.m. on October 7 at the Carver, which is located at 226 N. Hackberry. Call (210) 207-7211 for information.
