Progression of a Dream

Following an early 2013 trip to significant sites from the African American Civil Rights Movement, UTSA students have selected the content for a photo exhibit at the Institute of Texan Cultures.

About the Exhibit:

Progression of a Dream

April 16, 2013 - June 30, 2013

Selected by the UTSA Student Leadership Center and Inclusion and Community Engagement Center, 39 UTSA students took part in the "The Progression: An Exploration of Civil Rights."

Students were invited to submit photos with descriptive paragraphs on the significance of the images they captured. They documented sites such as the 16th Street Baptist Church, the Slave Haven Underground Railroad and the Mason Temple Church of Christ in God, where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his final speech, "I’ve been to the mountaintop."
