Request for Qualifications

The UTSA Institute of Texans Cultures (ITC) has long been a cornerstone in telling the stories of Texans. The museum is a valuable resource to The University of Texas at San Antonio, to the State of Texas, and to all those who cherish Texas history.

On May 11, 2016, UTSA issued a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to pursue a potential ground lease agreement with developers equipped to improve up to approximately 14.70 acres at the UTSA Hemisfair Campus in downtown San Antonio. The campus is home to the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures.

UTSA is committed to taking ITC to new levels as a museum, consistent with the university’s standard of Tier One excellence. This request for qualifications will potentially identify developers who can lead a project that could help generate income for the ITC to support new top-tier exhibits, programs, and special events.
