Group Tours
UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures enjoys hosting group tours and encourages you to visit. We are pleased to partner with destination management and bus tour companies as well as private groups. The information on this page will give you everything you need to know to plan a visit for a group of 10 or more.

Reservations
75-minute guided tours of the Exhibit Floor can be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., or 2:30 p.m., and any time on Sunday between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tours of the Back 40 can be scheduled Tuesday through Friday at 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Back 40 tours are suited for guests age 8 and older.
To ensure adequate staffing, please let us know you are coming at least two weeks in advance. During the busier months of March, April, and May, we appreciate four weeks' notice. We ask that all self-guided tours be scheduled after 2 p.m.
To reserve a tour for your group, call (210) 458-2291 or e-mail MuseumTours@UTSA.edu. Please be
prepared to provide the following information:
- The name of your group, bus company, or destination management company
- Your contact information (name, e-mail address and phone number)
- The number of guests you will accompany to the museum
- The date you would like to visit
- The tour time you would like to reserve
- Whether you would like to tour the Exhibit Floor, the Back 40, or both
- Specific areas of emphasis you would like to request for the tour
- If you would like to reserve outdoor picnic space for lunch
- Any special needs
Admission
Payment may be made upon arrival in the form of cash, credit card, corporate check, or purchase order.

Parking
Complimentary bus parking is available to museum guests in the bus lot on Bowie Street (via Market Street from I-35 and Commerce Street from I-37). If your group arrives in a vehicle smaller than a bus, we ask that you park in the guest lot in front of the museum. This lot can be accessed from Durango Boulevard.
Lunch Options
Groups are invited to enjoy several shaded areas with picnic tables outside the museum. Because space is limited, we ask that you reserve these spaces in advance. Indoor lunch facilities are not available.
Cancellation Policy
Please allow 48 hours' notice when canceling your group visit to UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures.
